I acknowledge my homebase, colonially known as the Twin Cities, is located on Mni Sóta Maḳoce (Land where the Waters Reflect the Sky), the unceded ancestral homeland of the Dakota, the Anishinaabe, and other Indigenous nations. I honor the generations of Indigenous people who have been, and remain here, and am committed to honoring their enduring history and presence.

My worldview is informed by principles of decolonization, causing me to critique systems of supremacy, to question the norms and ideologies that uphold them, and to center the wisdom of the body, the people, and the earth. The systems of domination we are surrounded by (and that live within us) are harmful to mental health as they interfere with our collective and individual rights to be creative, loving, honest, and free.
